It over and I have mixed emotions looking for wedding venues in Sydney. All the stress, all the yelling, all the fighting, finished and all for 6 hours of dancing, drinking and eating. I swear I think weddings are more for the guest and insane family members then the bride and groom. I can honestly say my wedding day was one of the best days of my life, but I’m glad I never have to go to any more wedding sites, or fill up my days visiting wedding venues and receptions.
I know I’m being dramatic, and I will look back on this day and want to re-live it over and over again. But the one thing I would do differently is get an event planner that isn’t related to me. I just think trying to organise a wedding is hard work but to have family help you is even worse, especially if their mind set is still in the 19th century. I can clearly recall all the wedding venues in Sydney we went on and the idea they had, pretty show one of the colour themes was gold. Just imagine that. My husband was smart when he said he trusts my decisions and did not want to get in the way, if only I could have gotten out of it that easily.
